Even the best of friends fall out occasionally and at times they can disappoint you and let you down. When it comes to friendships, the only thing you can do is to be a good friend and expect the same back. Most strong friendships will bounce back from even the biggest disasters.

When situations and problems get really bad, often it's really hard to know exactly how to deal with things. In times of anger, loneliness and despair, 15 % of young people will resort to self-harm as a way of dealing with their feelings. Girls are twice as likely to hurt themselves as boys.
If you harm yourself, or know someone who does, it's important to realise that there are more positive ways to deal with your problems. Try your best to confide in other people about the initial problem that led to the self-harm. Talk to someone you feel comfortable with and remember that the more people you tell about the problems you have, the more help you'll receive.
