This season glamorous blown out locks were seen at the likes of Chloé, Burberry Prorsum, Balmain and Givenchy. Providing a summery goddess look, this simple style can take you from day to night with ease and sophistication. Whilst blow drying may usually involve turning your head up side down and shaking your hairdryer erratically, we’ve got some no fuss tips for creating a super sleek and durable do.
1. Begin by shampooing and conditioning your hair and leaving it wrapped in a towel for as long as you’ve got time for to naturally get rid of a lot of the excess moisture. Don’t rub your hair too vigorously with the towel as this can damage your scalp and roots.
2. Apply Lee Stafford Heat Protection Straightening Mist (£6.84 @ Boots) to your damp hair and brush through with Schwarzkopf’s mini paddle brush (£3.50) to get rid of any tangles.
3. Next take a small amount of Look At Me Centre Stage Smoothing Styling Cream (£8.60) and run through your hair with your fingers from root to tip. Divide your locks into three sections – left, right and back – and clip up the top layer of each. It will be much easier to manage blow drying if you work with a small section at a time.
4. Choose a hair dryer like Remington’s Pro AC 2000W dryer (£19.99 @ Superdrug), which has a concentrated nozzle to focus in on the area you’re drying as well ionic conditioning to reduce static and frizz.
5. Wrap a round brush from Vogetti (£6.50) around your first section of hair and position the hair dryer down pulling the brush firmly, but slowly. Continue this process until you have completely dried all the section on your hair before giving it a cool blast with the dryer for extra shine.
6. Finish by spraying Look At Me Delicious Boosting Hairspray (£9.70) from 15cm to control individual sections and 30cm to finish and control the whole style.
