Names like Sarah, Jane and John just aren’t good enough for celebrities these days and a few new parents have been speaking about their unusual name selections. Nicole Kidman’s dad has revealed that she and hubby Keith named their daughter Sunday after 20th century artist’s muse, Sunday Reed and Rose after Keith’s late grandma.Matthew McConaughey, who welcomed baby Levi into the world this week said, “Levi was another name for the apostle Matthew in The Bible. They were, in fact, two names for the same person. Our son was born at 6:22 pm, and this particular time represents my favourite verse in the book of Matthew in The Bible: 'If thy eye be single, thy whole body will be full of light.'” Ahhh!
And finally, Chris Martin has been defending his decision to give his kids wacky names Apple and Moses. “People make a big fuss over names. Names of babies, names of albums, names of bands. There’s nothing weird about calling your baby Chewbacca if that’s what you want to call your baby, a name is just a noise, and if you like it, then f*** what everyone else says.” Say what you mean, won’t you Chris?
