We knew Britney’s had her fair share of troubles over the past year, but that didn’t stop our jaws from hitting the floor when we heard how much she’s had to fork out on legal fees – it’s a whopping £1.85million!
It’s been 14 months since a judge decided Brit wasn’t capable of managing her millions and handed them over to her dad to look after, but the legal bills that have gone with this have cost her a fortune.
£315,000 went on her divorce and custody battle with Kevin Federline, £257,000 covered Kevin’s own legal bills, £77,500 went on a battle with her former manager, £17,830 went on a trial for driving without a licence and £4,800 disappeared over a dispute about mould in a house she rented in Malibu (we know, what?!). There’s also massive bills for getting restraining orders against her ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib, former manager Sam Lufti, and lawyer Jon Eardly, who is accused of trying to take control of her affairs from her father.
Brit has spent so much, people are worried lawyers are taking advantage of her. An opposing lawyer said: “Miss Britney Spears is being bled dry by these proceedings.” Oi lawyers, leave our Brit alone!
