Katie and Peter’s divorce proceedings have descended into a bitter battle, as a result of a feud over child care. According to sources close to the glamour model mum-of-three Pete, 36, was meant to take the kids for the whole weekend, but dropped them back with his ex early so he could work on his new album. Pals of Pete say the arrangement had not been set in stone and that he is eager to see his children as much as possible. “Pete wants to see much more of the kids. But he’s sticking to the agreement drawn up by the lawyers”, explained a friend.
Meanwhile Katie’s allies are sticking up for 31-year-old in response to allegations in the press that she is cracking under the pressure of the split. A close pal said, “Katie is tired of suggestions she either doesn’t look after the children enough or that she won’t let Pete see them as much as is fair. She dropped everything when Pete called her and changed the arrangements. What’s odd is that Peter had been moaning he didn’t see the kids enough, then when he gets the chance he hands them back to Katie. She is livid about these claims, which are categorically untrue. Katie is not taking any pills. The suggestion of this and claims she is a bad mother are grossly unfair.”
