| Topshop have made wise commercial decisions with their A/W campaign by using model-to-watch Jourdan Dunn as their poster girl and London – the current fashion capital – to set the scene. Fortunately the clothes live up to the hype, as the array of cute dresses, skinny jeans, blazers and long jumpers all adhere to the season’s biggest trends as well as the much-loved Topshop style.
Shot on tubes and buses around the big smoke, the campaign features Jourdan et al frolicking in check, tartan, and harlequin inspired designs. Hosiery plays a big part in the collection, as outfits are complemented with knee high socks and thick wool ribbed tights in a variety of colours. Inspirations appear to include Cirque Du Soleil, the catwalk collections of PPQ and Luella and the style of London-based celebs like Alice Dellal and Alexa Chung. We particularly love the doll-like striped full skirt, the sequinned prom dress – let’s hope we get to Topshop before they’re all snapped up!
