Ever heard of a space bar?
I think it's so unfair that doctors/nurses/fireman/police etc are out there saving lives and protecting us all every day, yet prats like Ronaldo are being paid a fortune to kick a bit of leather. If the government doesn't have enough money to pay nurses etc more, then footballers should definitely be paid less.
As for them being celebrities, it wouldn't really work as they wouldn't really be able to do their jobs then, and no ones interested in reading about their lives. Saying that, I'm not actually interested in reading about celebrities lives either. |

But the government doesn't fund footballers' wages, their clubs do so you can't really compare the two. I have the utmost respect for what nurses, firmen, etc. do but I don't think that means they should be celebrities and I don't think they'd want to be either. Plenty of people are good at their jobs, but that doesn't mean they should become famous. And is anyone really going to buy a Heat-style style magazine about nurses?
