This summer i went on an international camp and my guide group hosted an american each and i grew crose with them the two weeks they were here and became best friends with most of them and ive been invited over to visit them next summer XD i reall want to go and see them they only went home nearly a week ago but i miss them already !! at first when i told my mom about it she sed tht i could save my money up if i wanted to go so ive been thinking about how to get the money and last summer i washed pplz cars for them for money and me and my mate that i did it with got over £40 each from it! I thought that i could that to raise the money to go to america but now my moms said no ! she says im too young because i'l be 14 but im stupid i can look after my self and i wouldnt go on my own she could even come with me or i could take a friend ! does anyone kno how i could pursuad her ??!! i just realy want to go!! Please Help !!

Heloo..
erm..well im guessing you live in England? if you do then i think 14 is a bit young to be going over to America by yourself or mayby even with a friend..i wouldnt wanna and im 15! lol.. but everyones different, and if you really wanna then just prove to your mum that your trustworthy and tell her you will pay for it all and you'll call her everyday? or mayby you could get an older friend to go with you? that might bring her round a bit!.
or can you not even meet your friends halfway somewere instead of you going all the way 2 america? lol

Like i said tho im stupid enough to go on my own and meet them halfway as in like whre?? and i have got my next door neighbour hu im best mates with but i stil dont think she'd let me go :(

oh right, well can't you get your next door neighbours mum to talk to yours and they can sort something out??
well i dont mean like exactly halfway..lol but cant you just meet back at the camp or something next year?
if all else fails then i would just keep pleading with your mum! but not so much that you really annoy her cos then shes more likely to say no!

dunno what to suggest, just get your neighbours mum and your mum to talk it over, you are a bit young though.

tbhh, i don't think you're too young, haha.
especially not if you're gona stay with them at their house & stuff.
i used to fly to hongkong to visit my best friend when i was 12, and it's fine.
all you need to do is get the airport people to look after you & take you around.
then it's all fine, you don't have to do ANYTHING! and they treat you really well.
just make sure your mum drops you off & you're picked up by an adult at the other end.
persuade your mum, tell her about that, save your money & i hope it all works out! (;

well i don't really remember.
i just talked to her about it & said i really missed my friends, & it would be great to see them & told her about all the security etc. made sure i knew what i was talking about & that i was responsible, so she could trust me to do it on my own.
and she just eventually gave in.
but i made sure she had all the details & i called her when i arrived & etc.

to be honest i wouldnt let a 14 year old go by herself in anyways she probs only said you can save up coz she didnt think u wud!
theres no way to persuade her unless u siad u would like a family holiday over there |

It depends where in America I spose...like, if you're going Miami or sumt, that's stoopid, don't go by yourself, you'll get killed...although t'is nice there.
anyway, try and get a family holiday out there...
I'm nearly 17, I've been by myself, but to stay with one of my best friends, who picked me up from the airport and that... |
