| Is there any tiny chance that you could get pregnant from dry sex?? (i.e. sex with clothes on) Its just me and my boyfriend did it a few weeks ago. My period was supposed to be here three weeks ago, and it was showing all signs of coming-spotty face, discharge etc etc and then it just stopped - and its never late. Could this mean I’m pregnant, please help me! |

| It’s pretty unlikely. If you were rubbing against each other with clothes on then even if he came his sperm would have to get through his clothes and yours in order to reach your vagina. However, if there was a chance of contact (for example if you were just in your underwear or if one of you had no undies on at all) then there is more risk – particularly if he ejaculated on or very near your vagina. Dry sex (with absolutely all your clothes on) is less risky than getting off with each other with no clothes on, so it may be your period’s late because you were worried about the possibility of pregnancy – or perhaps it was just one of those months when you had a lighter flow. If you are really worried you can get a cheap pregnancy test from your pharmacist or speak to someone in confidence at Brook www.brook.org.uk or your local reproductive health/family planning clinic who can do you a test for free. It’s an idea to go to the clinic anyway as they can discuss contraception with you and give you some free condoms. That way if you’re getting it on together again and you do want to have some physical contact you can use a condom to prevent pregnancy and allow you to relax and enjoy things. |
